Overview

Delta, CO adopts the following codes:

• The International Building Code, 2018 edition, chapters 1 through 35 inclusive and Appendix Chapter C, G, I, and N. Delta, CO Muni. Code § 15.04.010(A) (adopted) with amendments at § 15.04.030(A).
• The International Residential Code, 2018 edition, chapters 1 through 43 inclusive and Appendix Chapters H, Q, R, and S. Delta, CO Muni. Code § 15.04.010(B) (adopted) with amendments at § 15.04.030(B).
• The International Existing Building Code, 2018 edition, chapters 1 through 16 inclusive. Delta, CO Muni. Code § 15.04.010(H) (adopted) with amendments at § 15.04.030(H).

Residential Building Code

Colorado has yet to adopt a statewide residential code. Local laws will control.See PLRB, Colorado Building Codes for more information on state level codes.

Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.

After researching, we were unable to locate the existing residential building code adoption ordinance.

Commercial Building Code
